بیوگرافی:

دکتر جعفر جهان­ پناه متولد سال 1345 تهران است. مدرک دیپلم خود را از دبیرستان سحاب تهران در رشته ریاضی و فیزیک در سال 1364 دریافت نموده است. وی تحصیلات آکادمیک خود را با دریافت مدرک کارشناسی فیزیک کاربردی از دانشگاه امیرکبیر (پلی­تکنیک تهران) و دریافت درجه دکتری در رشته لیزر از دانشگاه اسکس انگلستان به انجام رسانده است.

Curriculum Vitae

Biography

Jafar Jahanpanah received the B.Sc. degree in applied physics from Amir Kabir (Tehran Poly-technic) University, Tehran, Iran, in 1989, the M.Sc. degree in optics communication, and the Ph.D. degree in laser theory from Essex University, Colchester, U.K., in 1992 and 1995, respectively. He began his Ph.D. research with Prof. R. Loudon with a focus on the gain, stability, and injection-locking theory of single-mode laser amplifiers from 1992 to 1995

As a senior student, he earned a scholarship from the Iranian Culture and Higher Education Minister to continue his education career with Essex University in 1991. He has been an Assistant Professor with the Physics Department, Kharazmi (Tarbiat Moallem) University, Tehran, since 1997, and was appointed as the Research Chairman with the Science Faculty at KHU from 2006 to 2009. He is currently an Associate Professor of physics and has been the Chairman of the Science Faculty at KHU since 2009-2012

His current research interests include laser noise and also the gain, stability, and mode-locking phenomena in three-mode lasers. He has publications in journals of PRA, OSA, Applied Physics, and Optics Communications
